Job description

Job Title:                            Inventory Control Specialist

FLSA Status:                     Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Pay Range:                       $22.00 - $24.00

Department:                    Inventory Control

Reports To:                      Supply Chain Manager

The Inventory Control Specialist audits warehouse inventory accuracy through physical inventory counts, product review, and other necessary or assigned tasks.

Job Description:

  • Execute daily cycle counts according to Kuna’s cycle count plan
  • Execute daily inventory, date, and lot verifications on sensitive and requested items
  • Organize inventory in pick slots
  • Report and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure correct labeling of products and racking
  • Identify and remove damaged products
  • Audits of inbound receiving for accuracy, investigate discrepancies and communicate with accounts payable
  • Work unsupervised for extended periods of time
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to work safely in a warehouse environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 100 lbs. regularly
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hour shifts
  • Able to work in refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from -10⁰F to 40⁰F
  • Ability to obtain material handling equipment certifications on electric pallet jacks, high-rise order pickers, forklifts, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) skills
  • Prior WMS or ERP experience
  • Prior warehouse experience, food distribution, and inventory control a plus
