Maintenance Technician – Injection Molding & Industrial Equipment

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician / Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of injection molding machines, soft trim lamination equipment, industrial robots, and auxiliary manufacturing equipment. This role is critical during plant startup and production ramp-up, requiring strong industrial maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on injection molding equipment, industrial robots, and auxiliary equipment to ensure consistent production readiness

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance issues involving hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, PLCs, robotics, and industrial controls

  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency

  • Set up, align, and calibrate molds to support efficient production launches and changeovers

  • Maintain facility and building systems including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and hydraulic infrastructure

  • Schedule, document, and complete routine industrial maintenance tasks using maintenance logs or CMMS systems

  • Order, track, and manage spare parts inventory in coordination with procurement

  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and repair records

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations

  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic in all maintenance activities

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining injection molding machines in a manufacturing environment

  • 2–3 years of experience as a maintenance technician, industrial maintenance technician, electronics technician, or robotics technician

  • Strong mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics maintenance, hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing

  • Experience working with electrical systems ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC three-phase power

  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to learn new equipment and processes quickly

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be punctual, dependable, and reliable

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
