Job Summary:

As a Weekend Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating and implementing stimulating programs that meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents. This part-time position is perfect for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of others while working on weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement activities that cater to specific resident needs, including large groups, small groups, and individual attention

  • Observe and report resident attendance, participation, and behavior changes

  • Provide support to care planning processes by providing supervisors with specific information and observations of resident needs, preferences, and report any behavioral changes

  • Coordinate activity programs with volunteers from the surrounding community

  • Meet and greet new residents, ensuring their comfort, privacy, and dignity

  • Maintain established infection control and standard precaution practices

  • Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Certificate in a relevant field (Preferred: One year experience in an Activity Aide role)
