Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Mechanic 3 for a full-time weekend-day industrial maintenance opportunity in Ripon, Wisconsin. This is a hands-on maintenance position for an experienced mechanic with strong troubleshooting skills across motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Mechanic 3 is responsible for repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing production machinery and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to diagnose equipment problems, complete repairs, perform welding as needed, and return machinery to safe and efficient operation.
The mechanic will work from diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications while using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment. The position also utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create and manage work orders, document maintenance activity, and search for replacement parts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair and maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment
Troubleshoot and service electric motors
Troubleshoot advanced hydraulic systems
Troubleshoot advanced pneumatic systems
Maintain and repair pumps
Maintain and repair conveyor systems
Diagnose problems with production machinery and equipment
Restore equipment to safe and efficient operating condition
Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment
Read and work from diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
Perform welding in support of maintenance and equipment repairs
Perform mechanical fabrication as needed for repair activities
Prepare new machinery for operation according to established protocols and procedures
Conduct technical testing of machinery to verify safety and operating efficiency
Collect and analyze machine-operation data
Identify equipment-performance trends and recommend actions to reduce machine downtime
Create and manage maintenance work orders using a CMMS
Search for replacement parts using computerized systems
Document completed repairs and maintenance activities
Support reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and production systems

EDUCATION NOTE: A two-year Associate degree is preferred, not a hard requirement. Candidates with substantial hands-on industrial maintenance experience may be considered based on their technical background and qualifications.
IMPORTANT: This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position. Candidates must demonstrate direct experience troubleshooting and repairing motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery. Welding and CMMS experience are also core requirements.
