Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role based in Houston, TX. The technician will install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and related controls. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostics, identifying and resolving system issues, completing routine and preventive maintenance, and documenting all work performed. The role involves working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components, reading blueprints and technical diagrams, and following all safety and regulatory requirements. The technician will collaborate with project managers, facility teams, and other trades to ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in alignment with project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving HVAC system issues.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC, including condensate, hydronic, and chilled water lines.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
  • Understanding of electricity and electrical components in HVAC systems, including controls, wiring, and safety procedures.
  • EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for handling refrigerants and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Previous experience as an HVAC technician in commercial or industrial environments strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Commitment to safety, adherence to company and industry standards, and ability to work in active facility settings.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and site personnel.
