Job description

This position is responsible not only for all accounting responsibilities but will also support the various disciplines within the Hotel.

The Accounting Supervisor will be also responsible for daily reports, general cashiering, and accounts payable processing in addition to other tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prior experience with general ledger maintenance and reconciliation required.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong PC skills including Excel and Word
  • Proficient with ProfitSage and Birchstreet systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Approach all encounters with associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to prioritize hotel, or departmental functions in order to meet all deadlines.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in hotel Accounting
A minimum of 2 years of Supervisor experience
