Job description

FOOD amp; BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR (PM Shift)
Reports to Director of Food amp; Beverage / Restaurant Manager; position is non-exempt ($22/hr)
WHO YOU ARE
You’re the kind of leader who thrives on the floor — present, observant, and always two steps ahead. You’re equal parts coach and problem-solver, known for keeping service running smoothly while motivating your team to deliver thoughtful, elevated guest experiences. You take pride in knowing your menus, your beverages, and your people, and you understand that great hospitality is built through consistency, care, and collaboration.
You’re highly organized, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and you bring a calm, professional presence even in fast-paced environments. You believe in leading by example and understand that the best guest experiences start with engaged, supported associates.
THE ROLE
The Food amp; Beverage Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting daily restaurant, bar, and banquet operations while upholding Aparium’s Standards of Service. Reporting to the Director of Food amp; Beverage or Restaurant Manager, this position bridges leadership and execution — ensuring service excellence while developing team members and supporting operational goals.
This role requires someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. Aparium leaders are expected to be both strategic and hands-on, identifying opportunities for improvement and personally ensuring issues are resolved. As a growing hospitality company rooted in Translocal Hospitality, flexibility, curiosity, and collaboration are essential.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Uphold and model Aparium’s principles of People, Place, and Character, ensuring your team consistently delivers warm, authentic, and thoughtful service.
  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations across restaurant, bar, and banquet environments as needed.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, descriptions, and daily specials.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of wine, cocktails, beverage service, and proper stemware usage.
  • Present menus and make thoughtful recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Utilize the hotel’s POS and computer systems to ring sales, print and close checks, and complete end-of-shift reporting.
  • Assist with associate scheduling, payroll support, and daily labor coordination.
  • Conduct monthly inventories of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and food and beverage items at the direction of the Executive Chef or Food amp; Beverage leadership.
  • Support training, coaching, and development of associates; lead with clarity, respect, and accountability.
  • Handle guest concerns and operational challenges with professionalism, discretion, and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Maintain compliance with all hotel and departmental policies, service standards, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Hotel Operations, and Food amp; Beverage leadership to ensure seamless service.
  • Support other food and beverage departments as needed to ensure operational success.
HOW YOU LEAD
  • Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to associates, fostering a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with peers, managers, and direct reports.
  • Lead with confidence, humility, and consistency — inspiring trust and collaboration.
  • Maintain professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a guest-first mindset.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Food amp; Beverage Supervisor experience
  • Strong working knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and beverage service
  • Understanding of service excellence, labor control, merchandising, maintenance, and basic accounting principles
  • Computer proficiency, including POS systems and scheduling tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
