  • Reconcile and approve Closing Disclosures.
  • Prepare accurate and complete closing documents and packages.
  • Schedule loan closings directly with borrowers.
  • Coordinate with title and settlement partners to keep closings moving and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Accurately enter, review, and maintain loan documents and information within the loan origination system.
  • Use checklists and job aids to confirm all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Partner with processing, underwriting, and post-closing teams to correct issues and complete closings.
  • Prioritize a pipeline of loans with varying products, deadlines, and levels of complexity.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the loan life cycle and how closing activities affect members and downstream teams.
What you'll need:
  • Two or more years of recent mortgage loan closing experience.
  • Experience reviewing and preparing mortgage closing documents.
  • Experience communicating directly with borrowers or members throughout the closing process.
  • Working knowledge of TRID requirements and Closing Disclosures.
  • Conventional mortgage loan experience.
  • Ability to manage a mixed loan pipeline while meeting production and turnaround-time expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and operate with a sense of urgency.
Nice to have:
  • Experience using Encompass during the mortgage closing process.
  • Home equity, HELOC, or second-lien closing experience.
  • FHA or VA loan experience.
  • Experience personally reconciling and approving Closing Disclosures.
  • High-volume closing experience, including managing approximately 80-100 completed files per month.
  • Experience working directly with title companies, settlement agents, processing, underwriting, and post-closing teams.
