Job description

Moore Living Connections is seeking a dedicated and motivated Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of two Adult Foster Care (AFC) homes. This position plays a key role in ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and a positive living environment for the individuals we serve.

Position Summary

The Group Home Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of one AFC homes, including staff supervision, scheduling, training, documentation, compliance, and ensuring person-centered services are delivered in accordance with licensing regulations and company policies.

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation, including weekend coverage, to provide support and guidance to staff and address emergencies as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Provide direct care support within assigned AFC homes while supervising, coaching, mentoring, and supporting Direct Care Staff to ensure quality resident care.
  • Ensure compliance with AFC licensing regulations, company policies, and individual care plans
  • Conduct staff training, orientation, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor medication administration and documentation accuracy
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coverage needs
  • Participate in home inspections, audits, and quality assurance activities
  • Maintain communication with guardians, case managers, medical providers, and other stakeholders
  • Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during crisis situations
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

In Lieu of Degree:

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in AFC, healthcare, human services, or a related field

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment requirements
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including weekends
