GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in South Charleston, West Virginia.

Unit Notes:Unit: 5 Pavilion - Med-Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Full-time position requiring 36 hours per week with 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 on 32-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Care for post-operative and medical patients including surgical, orthopedic, urology, and medical cases
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with common procedures involving hips, shoulders, and knees
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin based on protocol; cardiac drip experience preferred
• May be asked to fill charge nurse role with modified patient assignment (usually 2 patients)
• Weekend requirement every other weekend with set rotation (weekends 1 and 3 or weekends 2 and 4)
• Holiday rotation with core staff based on previous year's schedule
• Floating required to 3P or 4P medical-surgical units or Emergency Department when needed
• Work with equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, IV pumps, pulse oximetry, and sequential compression devices
• Remote telemetry monitoring available 24/7 with charge RN review
• Nurse aids available with 1:10 ratio
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Travel experience required
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required
• Dress code: Navy scrubs (solid color, no embroidery or patterns), closed-toe shoes, no crocs
• Two-day orientation with preceptor plus general hospital and nursing orientation
