Presque Isle, ME โ€“ Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Full-Time/Evenings; 2:30 PM โ€“ 11:00 PM. Weekends and holidays required as scheduled.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.
Job Description:

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Manager to support administrative and customer service operations at a local hospitality service. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and dependable individual who enjoys working with the public. The Front Desk Manager will oversee daily operations while helping ensure guests receive a welcoming and positive experience throughout their stay. Responsibilities include managing reservations, coordinating guest services, responding to customer concerns, supporting staff communication, and assisting with the hotelโ€™s online booking platforms and guest reviews. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional and organized during busy periods. Previous hospitality or supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Cover and operate the front desk during assigned shift hours.
  • Welcome guests and provide professional, high-quality customer service.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Provide information regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, and area services.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally to help ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee evening front desk workflow and daily operations.
  • Manage reservations through phone, email, walk-ins, and online booking platforms.
  • Coordinate room assignments and special requests with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
  • Monitor room availability, occupancy, and nightly reporting information.
  • Manage OTA platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia, and SiteMinder GDS.
  • Respond to online guest reviews and assist with maintaining the hotelโ€™s online reputation.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions and maintain accurate guest records.
  • Complete shift reports, handoff notes, and operational documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Support team members and assist with additional duties as requested by management.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • At least two years of hospitality, front desk, or customer service experience.
  • Previous management or leadership experience required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel management systems quickly.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and OTA platforms preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as needed.
