Job description

We are seeking a dependable, professional, and experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy outpatient medical practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in/check out patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer and manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
  • Obtain and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare offices.
  • Handle front-desk administrative duties and patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:
  • Previous medical front desk/reception experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with insurance verification and medical scheduling.
  • Ability to efficiently handle a busy, high-volume phone environment.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) IS A MUST.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Professional, courteous, dependable, and organized.
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced outpatient medical office.
