About the Role

The Seafood Dispatcher provides prompt and courteous service to customers by filling orders for seafood, meat, and cremeria products. This role ensures fresh, rotated product, maintains clean and organized displays, and supports sales and food safety goals while modeling Vallartas core values of customer service, commitment, integrity, respect, humility, and teamwork.

What Youll Do

  • Smile, greet, and assist customers with extraordinary service.

  • Maintain product freshness through proper rotation and compliance with company procedures.

  • Promote sales with suggestive selling and preparation of marinated meats and vegetables.

  • Package, weigh, label, and price seafood, meat, and cremeria products with honesty and accuracy.

  • Stock and refill seafood, meat, and cremeria cases and coolers.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and presentable cases, counters, and work areas.

  • Ensure compliance with state weights and measures, labeling, and food safety regulations.

  • Monitor case temperatures and communicate discrepancies to the Meat Manager.

  • Maintain knowledge of product codes, uses, and preparation.

  • Assist coworkers and support teamwork across the department.

  • Follow sanitation processes and assist in cleaning equipment and work areas.

  • Follow safety procedures, wear protective equipment, and report unsafe conditions.

  • Treat coworkers and customers respectfully at all times.

  • Follow dress code, company policies, and Employee Handbook.

  • Report issues to Meat Manager, Store Director, or Supervisor.

  • Do not operate equipment without proper training or authorization.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk constantly (68+ hours/day).

  • Frequently bend neck and waist, squat, twist, and reach above/below shoulders.

  • Frequent repetitive hand use: grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation.

  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

  • Heaviest item: 50 lbs., carried up to 100 feet.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment.

  • Work near equipment and machinery; exposure to noise, temperature, and humidity changes.

  • No work at heights; no walking on uneven ground.

  • Ability to learn product codes and uses.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, crowded environment with urgency.

  • Basic understanding of English language.
