Position Type: Athletics/Activities/Prom Advisor

Location: Triton High School

Prom Advisor Triton High School (Spring 2027)

Overview The Prom Advisor leads and oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of the Triton High School Prom for Spring 2027. This position works closely with the student prom committee to select themes, manage budgets, organize event logistics, and create a memorable, safe, and safe environment for all attending student-athletes and students.

Key Responsibilities

Student Leadership & Facilitation

  • Form and guide the student prom planning committee, facilitating regular meetings.
  • Empower student leaders to take ownership of event ideas, design, and fundraising while providing structure and oversight.
  • Assist students in selecting themes, decorations, invitations, and music

Event Planning & Logistics

  • Coordinate event details including venue selection, vendor contracts (DJ, photography, catering/catering venues), and security.
  • Organize pre-prom activities, grand march logistics, and post-prom event coordination if applicable.
  • Manage ticketholder lists, ticket sales, and table/seating arrangements.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Establish and monitor the prom budget in accordance with district financial policies.
  • Oversee committee fundraising efforts and manage all ticket sale revenues and vendor payouts.

Supervision & Safety

  • Recruit, schedule, and lead faculty, parent, and community chaperones for the event.
  • Enforce school, district, and facility rules to ensure student safety, decorum, and compliance throughout the event.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on-site on the day/night of the event.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with high school administration, custodial staff, and district finance personnel.
  • Maintain clear communication with students, parents/guardians, and staff regarding event schedules, dress guidelines, and ticket policies.

Qualifications

  • Current Triton High School staff member preferred; experience working with high school students required.
  • Strong organizational, event planning, and budget management skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to chaperone evening and weekend planning/event activities.
