Job description

Salary: Based on Experience

Position Summary:

Jimmys Dressing and Dips is seeking a meticulous and reliable Finance Clerk to support our financial operations. The Finance Clerk plays a key role in ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, entry of accounts payable and receivable transactions, maintaining financial records, and supporting the Finance Manager in budgeting and reporting tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Accurately process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate customer invoices and follow up on outstanding accounts.

Data Entry & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain up-to-date records in inventory and accounting software programs.
  • File and archive financial documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

Bank & Ledger Reconciliation

  • Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor ledger entries and flag inconsistencies for review.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Support the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations within the food production industry.

Administrative Support

  • Support payroll preparation by maintaining and providing relevant data (e.g., absences, commissions, bonuses, leaves, etc.)
  • Assist in cost tracking by monitoring and recording expenses related to raw materials, labor and overhead by accurately inputting data into cost system.
  • Assist operations teams to ensure accurate stock valuation and reporting of inventory.
  • Provide customer service support as needed.


Qualifications:

Required

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or clerical accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing, food production, or warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting practices. Bonus for QuickBooks experience.


Working Conditions

  • On-site at our headquarters and production facility.
  • Typical hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or as designated.
  • Occasional extended hours during seasonal inventory or audit periods.
