Midstates Executive Solutions is partnering with a well-respected community bank in Rochester, Minnesota, to identify an experienced Agricultural Lender. This is an outstanding opportunity for a lender who enjoys managing relationships and serving agricultural clients rather than spending the majority of their time on business development.

The successful candidate will inherit an established and well-maintained loan portfolio, allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional service, portfolio management, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Business development expectations are minimal, making this an ideal role for someone who values relationship banking and credit quality.

What You'll Do
  • Manage an established portfolio of agricultural lending relationships.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand financing needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and creditworthiness for new and existing borrowers.
  • Structure and present agricultural loan requests while ensuring sound underwriting practices.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively identify potential credit risks.
  • Work closely with credit administration and underwriting teams throughout the lending process.
  • Cross-sell additional banking products and services when appropriate.
  • Assist with commercial lending opportunities as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as an Agricultural Lender is required.
  • Exposure to or experience with Commercial Lending is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural operations, lending practices, and credit analysis.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Agricultural Business, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience).
