Job description

Reno Staffing is looking for Event Staff for the Candlelight Concerts in Sparks!


The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional and enjoy working with the general public.

Shift: On days on Concerts schedule will always be 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
Pay: $21/hr.
Location: Sparks, NV 89431
Summary:
Event staff are frontline and backstage workers who execute event logistics. They ensure venues are set up safely, attendees are properly welcomed, and operations run smoothly from start to finish. This versatile role requires high physical stamina, excellent customer service, and adaptability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Staff for the setup, breakdown, and beginning-to-end operations of the Candlelight series.
  • Setup: Place candles throughout the venue, set up operations, etc.
  • Showtime Roles: Greeter, scanning tickets, ushering guests to their seats, informing guests about the event, and providing a 5-star guest experience from doors open to doors close.
  • Breakdown set up candles and all Candlelight supplies neatly and efficiently in preparation to be unpacked again for the next event date.
  • You will be doing MANUAL LABOR from beginning-to-end operations of Candlelight Concert.
  • Handle customer complains respectfully and thoroughly
  • Take pictures of the event and provide to lead at end of shift
At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.


Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to be on your feet for long hours, and regularly lift or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds or more.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stressful situations, large crowds, and demanding patrons with a positive attitude.
  • Dress Code: Staff must be in all black and closed toe shoes, NO Leggings, sweatpants or sweatsuits allowed.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varied days, which heavily include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Teamwork: Ability to take direct instructions from an Event Manager and collaborate smoothly with other staff and vendors.
  • Must be able to lift boxes containing candles, up to 50lbs.

A resume or work history is required for this role. Upon job offer a drug test is not required.
