Job Description
This role is responsible for overseeing the performance, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of the ERP system while leading project-based work in collaboration with external consultants and internal stakeholders.
The ERP Systems Lead works closely with the IT Manager to plan, prioritize, and approve system improvements and initiatives. This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the role provides technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced ERP team members as needed.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties
  • ERP System Oversight: Ensure the ERP system effectively supports business operations and performs efficiently. Monitor system health, identify issues, and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Project & Consultant Collaboration: Partner with ERP consultants on project-based work, providing direction, clarifying requirements, and ensuring deliverables align with organizational objectives.
  • ERP Project Leadership: Lead ERP-related projects from planning through execution, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring milestones and objectives are achieved.
  • Strategic Collaboration with IT Manager: Work closely with the IT Manager to evaluate, plan, and approve ERP system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements. Provide recommendations to support strategic technology goals.
  • Integration Oversight: Coordinate and oversee integration efforts between the ERP system and other business applications to ensure seamless data flow and operational continuity.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders regarding system performance, project status, and upcoming changes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance system functionality, and improve overall ERP efficiency.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide support and guidance to less experienced ERP team members, offering knowledge sharing and subject matter expertise without formal supervisory responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting, administering, configuring, or leading workstreams within an ERP environment (NetSuite or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience leading ERP enhancements or projects from planning through execution (requirements, timeline, testing/UAT, cutover, stabilization).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes supported by ERP (e.g., order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, production/manufacturing operations, finance/accounting).
  • Working knowledge of ERP integration concepts (data mapping, interfaces/APIs, middleware, error handling, testing discipline) and ability to coordinate/triage integration issues.
  • Proven experience collaborating with third-party consultants and holding work to scope, timeline, quality standards, and documentation/knowledge-transfer expectations.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitate decisions, and manage expectations across departments.
  • Experience with change control, documentation standards, testing practices, and release management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Netsuite ERP system.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization and process automation
  • Exposure to multiple ERP platforms and related technologies
  • Experience supporting ERP in a manufacturing or multi-site environment with inventory and operational complexity.
  • Experience improving reporting accuracy and usefulness (saved searches, dashboards, KPIs, financial/operational reporting).
  • Ability to evaluate and adopt AI solutions that support ERP operations and continuous improvement
  • Experience with C1 Legacy or C1 Cloud
