Steel of West Virginia

Steel of West Virginia, Inc., a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc. operates a steel mill located in Huntington, WV and adjacent to Marshall University.  SWVA supplies specialty long rolled steel beams and channels as well as semi-finished weldments via our three rolling mills and robotic weld and material handling lines.   

We have strong benefits, competitive pay, incentive bonus pay, profit sharing (twice a year), and Company contribution into your 401(k) plan.  We also have a weekly PRODUCTION BONUS for all departments!

We are growing and have openings for Production Workers. The Production Worker Entry Level Pay is $21.49 per hour. Double-time is paid on seventh consecutive day worked.  Rate increases every six months until full rate ($26.86) is reached at 18 month anniversary (per current union contract).

You must meet the following qualifications:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED

  • A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to stand/work for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis
