Job description

Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Fargo, North Dakota.

Job Description & Requirements

  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, rotating
  • Employment Type: Travel

40-bed Level III NICU caring for critically ill and growing neonates in a Level I Trauma Center. Nurses provide comprehensive neonatal care including ventilator management, CPAP, umbilical lines, PICCs, IV starts, NG/OG feedings, G-tubes, medication administration, admissions, and assistance with procedures such as intubations and spinal taps. Patient ratios range from 1:1-1:2 for critical infants and 3:1 for feeder/grower infants.

Requirements
  • 2+ years recent Level III NICU experience
  • Active RN License (ND or Compact, willing to obtain ND)
  • AHA BLS
  • NRP
  • Must be willing to float to PICU and Pediatrics (within scope)
  • Epic experience highly preferred
Schedule
  • 12-hour rotating Day/Night shifts
  • Every other weekend
Unit Details
  • 40-bed Level III NICU
  • Ratios: 1:1-1:2 critical, 3:1 feeder/growers
  • EMR: Epic
  • Orientation includes Epic training and 2 buddy shifts

No travelers within 80 miles of the facility Manager conducts interviews directly (please provide good interview availability with submission) Badge in/out required Child-friendly scrubs with role-specific colored pants Facility may cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week contract
