  • Job Title: Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)
    Location: Gilbert, Arizona

    Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

    Shift: Day Shift, 07:00 -19:00

  • Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12-hour shifts, Sundayโ€“Saturday scheduling)
    Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Required
    On-Call: As needed


Job Summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Gilbert, AZ. This position requires a strong background in both oncology and progressive care (PCU) nursing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in chemotherapy administration, managing high-acuity oncology patients, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, including those requiring PCU-level monitoring

  • Safely administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive oncology treatments per established protocols

  • Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, adverse reactions, and disease progression

  • Manage central lines, ports, and IV therapies with precision and adherence to safety standards

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Educate patients and families on treatment regimens, symptom management, and post-discharge care

  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate optimal patient care

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required


Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license (Arizona or compact state)

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Oncology RN experience

  • PCU experience with oncology training/experience required

  • Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required

  • BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

  • Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, central line care, and oncology patient management

  • Ability to work night shifts and maintain flexibility in scheduling (Sundayโ€“Saturday rotation)


Preferred Qualifications
  • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification (preferred)

  • Experience with advanced oncology treatments such as immunotherapy or BMT

  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems
