    1st shift position available.

    Pay range is between $30.53 - $42.33 per hour.

    Job Description:

    This position is responsible for maintenance of facility and repair of manufacturing equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime.

    • Applicants will be considered for a General Mechanic opening in Maintenance Department for executing maintenance and repair work associated with CMMS work orders including repairing line equipment (mixers, grinders, clipper stuffers, slicers, labelers, multivacs, etc)
    • Pre-check and setup of equipment; cutting, welding electrical work and other duties as assigned.
    • Be willing and able to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift.
    • Be able to lift 40-60 pounds to shoulder height repeatedly.
    • Be able to walk and stand on cement floor for the shift duration.
    • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
    • Must have basic math skills and computer knowledge.
    • Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets, assess equipment, and demonstrate mechanical knowledge Working knowledge of USDA regulations, plant sanitation standards and procedures preferred.
    • Weekly, monthly, semi-Annual inspection throughout the facility including but not limited to: Fire Extinguishers, Fire Sprinkler system, Eye wash / shower Stations, Emergency Lighting, Alarm for access doors, Rail Inspections.
    • Lighting Repairs throughout the Facility, Repair / replace copper pipes (soldering copper) Pipe Threading of a sizes and types of material. Repairs to Toilets, sinks, Water Heaters. Able to drive Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, other Aerial lifts / Boom lifts Telescoping Lifts, ect.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 2 years handson industrial maintenance mechanic experience including electrical, conveyor, controls, ac/dc, pneumatics and hydraulics. Must have basic math skills and computer skills. Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets, assess equipment and demonstrate mechanical knowledge.

    Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
