Job description

Title: EMC Test Technician
Hire Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | Onsite
Location: St. Charles, IL (near DuPage Airport)
Compensation: $30–$32/hour ($62,400–$66,500 annually)
Benefits: This is a direct hire position with the manufacturer and includes a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and paid holidays.
We are partnering with a manufacturer in the St. Charles area to hire an EMC Test Technician for a direct-hire, full-time opportunity. This role is part of the client’s Test Systems department, a small, hands-on team working closely with a Manager and several Engineers to support EMC and electrical test system builds.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Wire and assemble 5 ft. panel boxes, including:
    • Crimping
    • Wiring
    • Soldering
  • Testing electrical components
  • Install and secure electrical components within control panels
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Support EMC and electrical test system builds and testing activities
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and organization throughout the build process
  • Collaborate closely with Engineers and the Test Systems Manager
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in wiring, panel assembly, or related technical roles
    or 1+ year of experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Associate’s Degree or Technical School training in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering considered with reduced experience
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, team-oriented department
