Job description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Full-time, Monday thru Friday with overtime required when necessary, including weekends.
As a Maintenance Technician it is your responsibility to maintain production and quality by ensuring proper operation of machinery, mechanical equipment and building maintenance. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with complex machinery in order to minimize downtime.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 4+ years of industrial maintenance
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to complete assignments and projects without supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as required up to 12 hours a day
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with a quick response to system and equipment failures.
  • Correctly diagnose a range of faults and plan a suitable course of action.
  • Adhere to all machine calls between start and end of shift, communicating with Machine Operator(s) and teams to diagnose and fix problems.
  • Complete all paperwork neatly, accurately, and in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Follow-up all work in orders to ensure proper performance.
  • Understand the principles of power transmission systems, various gearboxes, conveyor systems, and welding processes.
  • Understand the typical applications and recognize common defects of various bearings, drive belts, gaskets and seals.
  • Use maintenance software programs effectively.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team like atmosphere and comes to work with a positive attitude.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Additional duties as assigned, including working after hours and off-shift hours as required to maintain production.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
  • Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
  • Product layouts and production specifications
  • Product quality specifications
  • Quality standards

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
