Job description

Hours of Job
  • Full Time - 72 hours per pay period
  • No weekends or holidays

Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Performs diagnostic radiographic/imaging procedures.
  • Operates radiographic/imaging equipment and associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Evaluates radiographs or images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Helps maintain the office Radiation Protection Program and Quality Assurance Manual as well as helps prepare for inspection by the Ohio Department of Health.

Clinical Support Responsibilities
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs.
  • Assist providers during patient visits as needed.
  • Support clinical workflows, including assisting with blood draws and basic procedures.
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

Clerical & Front Office Support
  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls.
  • Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and general front-desk duties.
  • Completes patient registration when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.

Requirements
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program or successful completion of Ohio Department of Health accredited didactic and clinical education courses for general x-ray machine operators.
  • Must meet all requirements for continuing education set forth by the AART and ODH.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (AART) or certification by the Ohio Department of Health.
  • Hold a current valid Ohio Radiologic license in the category of Radiology (R) or general x-ray Machine Operator (GXMO) with clinical module associated to designated areas of the body will be obtaining images of.

Experience
  • Previous clinic experience is preferred not required.
  • Must be educationally prepared and clinically competent to perform radiographic duties.
