Job description

Position: Machinist
Location: Hartsville, SC
Pay: Apprentice level -$27.40/hr
Shift: Swing shift- 1st and 2nd
Standard hours will be 8hrs per shift. (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
*Position may require OT as needed*
***$2,000 sign on bonus- Paid out $1,000 after 90 days and $1,000 after 180 days***

  • Thorough knowledge of machine shop equipment and have at least 5 years' experience working with manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Good working knowledge of all types of CNC equipment
  • prior experience in assembly or fabrication work using a blueprint
  • A technical degree in Machine Shop is preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Applicants must be willing to work overtime including weekends and holiday when needed.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Experienced with operating and knowing how to program an NC Mill.
  • Proficient in G-code or conversational programming.
  • Knowledge on how to set-up machine and make fixtures for individual parts.
  • Know speeds and feeds of different types of materials and tooling.
  • Proficient in reading standard and metric blueprints along with knowing GD&T.
  • Able to check own parts, using machine shop measuring instruments (OD/ID mic's, calipers, depth mic's, scales, tape measure)
  • Proficient in basic math and geometry.
  • Experience with programming software (Esprit, or MasterCam etc) preferred.
  • Maintains safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity with partner on other shift by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Able to easily adapt and move from one machine or job assignment to another when the workload shifts.
