Job description

Palmetto Machine & Fab is hiring experienced Manual Machinists to join our team. We are looking for skilled candidates who can confidently operate manual mills and lathes with limited supervision.

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, can read blueprints, and wants to grow with a small, established company that offers competitive wages, overtime opportunities, and great benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual mills and lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Machine parts to required specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Work independently with limited assistance.
  • Support team production goals and company quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating manual mills and lathes required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable, motivated, and quality-focused.

Schedule
