Summary

Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role that combines security and emergency medical response? Join Chenega Corporation as a Security Police Officer - EMR (Emergency Medical Responder)! In this dynamic armed position, you'll be the first line of defense, ensuring the safety and security of our facility while providing critical emergency medical support. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and be part of a dedicated team.

ALL positions begin as Part-Time with the option to bid on a full-time position when one becomes
available.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first response to emergencies, including medical incidents.
  • Carry out general and special orders for post assigned.   
  • Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.  
  • Enforce federal and assimilated state laws, conduct mobile patrols, inspections, and searches.
  • Perform traffic enforcement and investigations, initiate arrests, and transport individuals.
  • Follow applicable standard operating procedures and NASA regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, NASA property and equipment
  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, and perform package and parcel inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or greater certification through the State of Ohio.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to complete the NASA Federal Arrest Authority Basic Course within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed. 
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Preferred: 1 year of military or law enforcement experience, and a diploma or certificate from a recognized law enforcement or physical security training academy.
