Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Assists the Manager, Product and Promotional Development (iLottery), in the execution and day-to-day support of the Massachusetts State Lottery's eInstant game portfolio. Support digital game launches through coordination of game documentation, vendor communication, maintenance of project schedules, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure games are launched accurately and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

       Assists the Product Manager in the evaluation and selection of eInstant games by reviewing game concepts, participating in demonstrations with third-party game studios, supporting the onboarding of new digital content providers, and maintaining collaborative relationships with external vendors.

       Supports player engagement initiatives by assisting with the resolution of eInstant related player inquiries, gathering player feedback through surveys, player interactions, and other research efforts to better understand player preferences and improve the digital player experience.

       Coordinates and maintains digital game documentation including working papers, game rules, prize structures, game text, quality assurance records, and other relevant materials to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with Massachusetts Lottery standards.

       Supports the development and launch of eInstant games by coordinating with internal departments and external iLottery vendors to communicate requirements, timelines, updates, and approvals.

       Reviews digital game components including artwork, animations, sound, gameplay, functionality and player-facing content to identify inconsistencies and ensure accuracy prior to launch.

       Reviews and documents issues and communicates required corrections or enhancements to appropriate stakeholders.

       Maintains project schedules, launch calendars, trackers, and other organizational tools to support the successful execution of digital game initiatives.

       Monitors eInstant game launches and collaborates with internal teams and vendors to identify and resolve issues.

       Assists in the collection, organization, and analysis of digital game performance data and prepares reports, presentations, and summaries for the Product Manager and other stakeholders.

       Conducts research on digital lottery products, industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to support the development of future digital game initiatives.

       Assists with the review of player-facing digital game messaging and promotional materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with approved game positioning as needed.

       Works collaboratively with Marketing, Legal, Finance, IT, Customer Service, and other internal teams to support digital game initiatives.

       Provides support for digital game promotions, events, and player engagement initiatives as needed.

       Participates in off-site promotional events.

       Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel statewide, as required.

       Must be available to work promotional events on nights and weekends occasionally.

       Performs related duties as assigned.

NOTE: Per the bargaining unit contract, the salary for this position will increase by 2% effective July 12, 2026.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, Digital Media, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience.

       One to three years of experience in product management, digital marketing, analytics, project coordination, gaming, or a related field.

       Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.

       Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

       Strong attention to detail with the ability to review complex documentation with a high degree of accuracy.

       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

       Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.

       Knowledge of digital products, mobile applications, user experience principles, or the gaming industry is preferred.

       Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary Range Information

For external applicants who are not current employees of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission (MSLC), the non-negotiable starting salary for this position is $84,090.55 (Job Grade 24/Step 1).

For current MSLC union employees, the starting salary for this position will be calculated using union promotional rules.
