Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Corvallis, Oregon.

This position requires strong maternal-child nursing experience across OB triage, Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum, with nursery experience highly preferred.

The LDRP RN will provide care throughout the maternity continuum, including assessment of obstetric patients, labor management, delivery support, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Candidates should be comfortable responding to rapidly changing maternal or neonatal conditions and working collaboratively with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams.

An active, unencumbered Oregon RN license is required at the time of submission.

Key Responsibilities

·        Provide nursing care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum.

·        Perform OB triage assessments and determine appropriate escalation of care.

·        Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor.

·        Assess fetal heart rate patterns and uterine activity.

·        Evaluate labor progression and recognize changes in patient condition.

·        Manage laboring patients within RN scope and facility protocols.

·        Assist physicians and providers during vaginal deliveries and obstetric procedures.

·        Prepare and support patients requiring cesarean delivery.

·        Provide immediate postpartum nursing care.

·        Monitor maternal vital signs, bleeding, pain, and recovery.

·        Provide routine newborn assessment and care when assigned.

·        Support stabilization of high-risk newborns within demonstrated competency.

·        Administer medications, IV fluids, and other ordered treatments.

·        Educate patients and families regarding labor, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning.

·        Participate in clinical handoffs and interdisciplinary communication.

·        Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.

·        Follow patient-safety, infection-control, and maternal-child nursing standards.

·        Respond appropriately during maternal, fetal, and neonatal emergencies.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

·        Active, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license at time of submission

·        Current Healthcare Provider Level BLS

·        Current AHA ACLS

·        Current NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program

·        Recent experience in:

o   OB Triage

o   Labor & Delivery

o   Postpartum nursing

·        Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills

·        Ability to manage laboring patients in an acute-care environment

·        Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment

Preferred Qualifications

Strong candidates may also have:

·        Nursery experience

·        PALS

·        STABLE certification

·        Perinatal-related RNC certification

·        Experience stabilizing high-risk neonates

·        Electronic fetal monitoring experience
