Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Global International Planner supports the Global Trip Planning team and is responsible for the comprehensive planning and coordination of international flights for the Flexjet U.S. fleet within the scope of International Trip Planning (GTP).
This role proactively collaborates with internal teams to ensure all flight information is accurate, timely, and aligned with operational requirements, enabling safe and seamless global operations.
While maintaining a high attention to detail, focus, and adaptability to our dynamic flight schedule.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • US based role supporting the Flexjet US fleet.
  • Coordinate all aspects of international flight planning and logistics, including handling, airport slots, PPRs, permits (charter, landing, overflight), fuel releases, parking, parking, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, and other special services.
  • Manage all customs and immigration requirements: submit General Declarations, APIS transmissions, and PNR data; coordinate outbound/inbound clearances and crew visa on arrival when necessary.
  • Plan, file, and update all international flight plans in accordance with ICAO regulations.
  • Deliver comprehensive trip briefings in accordance with SOPs.
  • Ensure that crewmembers and passengers meet all entry and visa requirements for destination countries.
  • Provide external agents with all applicable aircraft/crew documents required for trip planning.
  • Verify aircraft eligibility for international operations.
  • Ensure the safe and legal coordination of scheduled flights.
  • Monitor and assess weather and global events that may impact flight operations.
  • Understand and interpret applicable regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Arrange crew transportation internationally as required.
  • Oversee passenger-related services for ground transportation.
  • Research and assist with resolution of flight and service deviations.
  • Report any safety, security, or quality concerns or non-compliance observations.
  • Exercise sound judgment and make rapid decisions regarding safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner regarding all international flight details.
  • Keep all relevant teams informed of any changes or disruptions affecting international flights.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dispatch License is preferred but not required.
  • Business Aviation knowledge is a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working knowledge of international aviation operations, including regulatory requirements, customs and immigration procedures, airport coordination, ground handling, weather considerations, and air traffic control (ATC) flow management.
  • Strong understanding of international operating requirements, including landing permits, airport slot coordination, Prior Permission Required (PPR) processes, and ground handling services.
  • Flight Planning experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR Part 91, 135, and/or 121 operational requirements.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to self-motivate, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and external partners.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

SCHEDULE
  • Front half | back half schedules available.
  • Morning, Mid, & 3rd shifts.
  • Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

  • Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 30 Lbs.
  • Must be able to assess conditions visually and aurally.
