Weekend Counselor Jobs in Kansas (NOW HIRING)

The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a full-time, on-site Patient Financial Counselor to join our team in our Wichita, KS offices. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends.

What does this position entail? 

Under general supervision, is responsible for assessment of patient financial requirements, counseling patients on insurance benefits and co-payments as well as assisting patients with applications for drug reimbursement, copay, and foundation assistance. Orders and tack drug received for patients approved for assistance, file claims to foundations and copay programs. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.  

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school degree or equivalent required 

• Minimum three (3) years medical insurance verification and authorization required.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
