Job description

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent to support commercial construction projects throughout the greater Southern California region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, employee-owned company (ESOP) where you'll work alongside experienced Superintendents, Project Managers, and field teams while gaining hands-on experience with ground-up and tenant improvement projects and advancing your construction career.

Job Summary

The Assistant Superintendent supports the Project Superintendent in overseeing daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications. This role coordinates subcontractors, monitors jobsite progress, maintains quality standards, and helps foster strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.

While our corporate office is based in Scottsdale, AZ, this role is focused on Southern California projects and is supported by our local office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Help maintain project schedules and monitor jobsite progress.
  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections and promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Complete daily reports, progress photos, and other project documentation using Procore.
  • Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout activities.
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and owners.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of commercial construction field experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
