Overview

The Coffee Shop Barista prepares and serves high-quality beverages and food while providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for customers and supporting the overall operations of the coffee shop. The Barista will also be cross-trained to support convenience store operations, assisting with retail functions as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares coffee, espresso, and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepares and serves food items, including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.
  • Provides friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service at the counter, drive-thru, or cafe area.
  • Operates POS system, handles cash, and processes transactions accurately.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
  • Monitors inventory of ingredients and supplies and reports shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.
  • Ensures beverages and food items meet company quality and presentation standards.
  • Practices all company safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment for team members and customers.
  • Assists with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures as directed.
  • Supports convenience store operations as needed, including:
  • Operating POS for store transactions.
    • Assisting customers with purchases and inquiries.
    • Stocking shelves and maintaining product displays.
    • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

Additional Job Duties:

  • Assists with other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and computer skills for POS operations.
  • Professional, positive attitude and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Willing and able to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
  • Must have a phone and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to communicate in English - IF APPLICABLE.
