Job description

Job Summary:

The General Manager (GM) of a MÓGŪ restaurant is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the restaurant's operations. The primary function is to ensure excellent customer service, maximize profitability, and maintain a positive work environment. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • The GM leads a team of employees, implements company policies and procedures, and upholds quality and safety standards. 
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and supervising the leadership team in the store location.
  • Responsible for termination decisions in store location.
  • Makes final decision for approval of borrowing/sending team members to other store locations. 
  • Reviews all regional evaluations and makes proper corrections by informing the team.
  • Administers performance evaluations for all team members at store location.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, labor costs, food costs, paper goods costs, gross margin, EBITDA margin, google/yelp ratings, and take appropriate actions to improve results.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
  • Analyze financial statements, weekly store sales reports, and other performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, providing coaching and feedback, and resolving employee conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Responsible for approving store schedules, altering team member time clock punches as needed, and processing payroll for their store location.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively, striving for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Responsible for counting and depositing cash.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and adherence to company values.
  • Responsible for becoming a subject matter expert on company policies and procedures.
  • Understand legal and financial implications regarding the store operations. 
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Monitor customer feedback and reviews, taking necessary steps to improve service quality and address any recurring issues.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must work a minimum of 50 hours per week. 

Required Education and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge & experience in restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the quick service restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and profit optimization.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes, and sanitation standards.
