Edison House is locally owned and has created a professional, comfortable, and safe environment for the Edison House community. The kitchen is headed up by Executive Chef Buzz Willey who was the owner and Executive Chef of Pallet, a downtown SLC staple for over 10 years. Edison House proudly sources its produce and meats from local distributors and continuously fosters a partnership with the community in which it operates.

Responsibilities: MUST BE 21
Presents him/herself professionally with clean uniform and groomed
Maintains knowledge of proper labeling and dating of product
Maintains knowledge of proper plating, cleaning, prepping, and cooking of menu items
Maintains knowledge of recipes, recipe cards, ingredients, and products
Prepares all dishes from grill, saute, garde manger, and special items
Required to maintain proper levels of mis en place, and backups to perform daily tasks
Required to maintain a clean workstation, preform opening and closing duties, and any other duties designated by the management team or kitchen leader
Taste food prepared to verify flavor, consistency, and textures
Demonstrate judgement and creativity in food utilization
Understand Edison House standards of food quality and recipe taste
Collaborates and supports banquet/prep cooks, and stewards
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant
Knowledge of product, standard recipes, and food preparation
Must be able to work a varied schedule of days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to accurately read and communicate duties amongst team members
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
Ability to work in a community environment
Ability to work calmly, productively, and effectively under pressure
Must have problem solving abilities, self-motivated, and organized
Commitment to quality service, quality food, and high standards of cleanliness
Proper and up to date knowledge to obtain a current Food Handlers permit
