ABOUT US.

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community. The ministry is made up of two operating entities: Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.

POSITION SUMMARY.

The Centre Café is a public-facing café and a central gathering space within the Christian Family Centre. Café Team Members provide food service and hospitality to guests of all ages while delivering excellent customer service in a Christ-honoring manner. This position will be working the afternoon shift, 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

This role requires attentiveness to customer needs, accuracy in food preparation and transactions, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient café environment. Café Team Members play an important role in creating a positive experience that reflects the mission and values of Lenawee Christian Ministries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Prepare and fulfill all food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and responsibly.

  • Restock café supplies and properly store inventory.

  • Fill and maintain the ice bucket as needed.

  • Wash and sanitize café dishes using the dish machine.

  • Complete assigned opening and closing procedures.

  • Clean and maintain café tables, counters, equipment, floors, and work areas.

  • Provide consistent, friendly, and efficient customer service.

  • Interact appropriately and respectfully with guests of all ages.

  • Display a Christ-honoring attitude in all interactions.

  • Maintain a current Food Handler’s Card and comply with all Health Department guidelines.

Christian Faith

  • Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

  • Support and adhere to the mission, values, and doctrinal beliefs of Lenawee Christian Ministries.

  • Model a Christ-centered life marked by integrity, humility, and excellence.

Experience

  • Previous server experience preferred.
  • Current Food Handler's Card preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
