    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues, user requests, and data anomalies reported by functional departments.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for end-user support ticket resolution within defined SLA guidelines.
  • System Maintenance & Enhancements
    • Collaborate with database administrators (DBAs) and developers to test, implement, and validate Banner updates, patches, releases, and regulatory updates (e.g., financial aid, IRS, state reporting).
    • Assist in the configuration, setup, and maintenance of Banner validation tables, rules, and security profiles.
    • Monitor and support scheduled batch jobs, integrations, and automated processes (e.g., UC4/Automic, AppWorx, or native job submission).
  • Process Analysis & Documentation
    • Work closely with business owners to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions or process improvements.
    • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and end-user guides.
    • Assist in developing data queries and reports using tools such as PL/SQL, Argos, Crystal Reports, or Cognos to meet institutional reporting needs.
  • Training & User Support
    • Conduct training sessions for functional administrative staff on Banner functionality, best practices, and system upgrades.
    • Help administrative units optimize business workflows leveraging Banner's built-in features.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2๏ฟฝ4 years of direct experience supporting Ellucian Banner (Banner 8/9, Administrative Pages, or Self-Service Banner) in a higher education environment.
    • Experience with higher education administrative operations (e.g., Registrar, Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL query writing for Oracle databases.
    • Experience with Ellucian Banner architecture, job submission, and integration components.
    • Knowledge of reporting/analytics tools commonly used in higher education (e.g., EAB, Ektron, Evisions Argos, Cognos).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Banner 9 Administrative Pages and Extensibility tools.
  • Experience with job scheduling software (e.g., UC4/Automic, AppWorx).
  • Knowledge of higher education data privacy and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with degree audit systems (e.g., Degree Works) or CRM tools (e.g., Slate, Salesforce).
