Job description

POSITION: Box Office Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Box Office

REPORTS TO: Assistant Box Office Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt - Full Time Hourly

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Box Office Coordinator at Legends Global - Altria Theater and Dominion Energy Center. Box Office Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Ticket Office Team and communicating effectively with internal and external customers. This position will also provide superior service to customers and guests with general for our Richmond venues (i.e., ticket purchases, upcoming events, ticket availability, event selection, and general parking information).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary ticket seller during box office hours, providing excellent customer service, processing transactions efficiently, and ensuring accurate ticketing information for all events.
  • Assist customers with general information (e.g.,event availability, pricing, seat selection and scheduling; general parking information, etc.) in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide support to box office management as needed including daily Reports, Maps, Price Sheets, and any other needs to Box Office staff.
  • Process ADA ticket requests
  • Answer general Box Office phone line and assist customers with ticket purchases using the ticket software (ETIX).
  • Interact in a professional manner when dealing with staff, vendors and various internal and external customers.
  • Accurately reconcile all sales and Will Call receipts.
  • Distribute Will Call tickets to customers for various events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

  • A minimum education level: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • Minimum a year of related work experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently deal with payment methods such as credit cards and gift cards.
  • Commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service.
  • Experience in effectively managing conflict resolution.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills and experience.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at least 75 percent of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a venue or live entertainment.
