Job Description
We are seeking a BE/BC Radiation Oncologist to join a comprehensive cancer care team within a not-for-profit health system in southwestern Virginia, providing cutting-edge radiation oncology services in a highly supported, patient-focused environment.
Practice Highlights & Environment:
  • Outpatient radiation oncology practice with coordinated inpatient collaboration as needed
  • Average patient volume: ~25 patients under active treatment per day
  • Monday-Friday schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance and multidisciplinary team-based care
  • Commission on Cancer-accredited program committed to high-quality oncology standards
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary cancer care team with strong referral network across a large regional health system
  • Integrated coordination and documentation supported by EPIC EMR
Technology & Clinical Resources:
This position offers access to advanced radiation oncology technology and a fully integrated cancer care environment, including:
  • Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
  • Eclipse Treatment Planning System supporting SRS, SBRT, 3D, IMRT, and electron treatments
  • ARIA Oncology Information System for integrated patient coordination and workflow
  • Advanced imaging capabilities, including a new GE CT scanner with 4D gating system (coming 2025)
