What You'll Do
Medical Interpretation
As one of the first points of contact for many of our Spanish-speaking families, you'll serve as an essential communication bridge between patients, families, and our medical team.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately interpret medical conversations between providers and Spanish-speaking patients and families.
- Help families understand diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure communication is culturally sensitive, compassionate, and easy to understand.
- Translate written materials such as patient forms, educational handouts, and medical instructions.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Patient Care Reception
Our reception team sets the tone for every visit. You'll help create a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience for our patients and families.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet children and families with warmth, kindness, and professionalism.
- Answer a high volume of phone calls while providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments and help maintain an efficient provider schedule.
- Complete patient check-in and check-out, collect co-pays, and verify insurance information.
- Keep patient records accurate and up-to-date within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and communication with specialists.
- Relay messages between patients, providers, pharmacies, schools, and other healthcare partners.
- Support our nursing and provider teams by ensuring important patient information reaches the right people quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical interpreter or completion of medical interpreter training preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare reception, or customer service role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology in both English and Spanish.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Interpreter Certification is a plus.
