A Taste of What You'll Do
California Natural Color is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Tech to join our harvest team from July - October. As a Lab Tech, you will perform physical and chemical analysis of grapes, grape products, water, and other related materials. You will operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyze and process laboratory samples while observing the department's safety practices, procedures, and quality system. This position may require shift work with occasional overtime and weekend work schedules. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field and experience in a laboratory setting. You will use your knowledge of distillation, titrimetric, colormetric, and instrumental methods to support the grape harvest. Experience with laboratory information management systems and chemical waste disposal guidelines will help you succeed in this seasonal role.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of Seasonal GALLO experience OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of experience in Seasonal or Lab Technician at a winery or vineyard.
  • Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Required to lift and carry cases of product that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to conduct work at extreme heights.
  • Required to comply with company GMP Policies.
  • Required to be 21 years of age.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
