Job description

Store Manager

First-Ever US Flagship | SoHo, New York City

We're partnering with a global barefoot and natural movement footwear brand to find a Store Manager for their first-ever US flagship, opening this summer in SoHo. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help launch a brand-new retail concept in one of the most competitive markets in the world - building the team, the standards, and the community from day one.

The brand is known for minimalist, zero-drop footwear designed to reconnect people with natural movement and foot health. The flagship isn't a typical shoe store - it includes foot scanning and movement analysis, one-on-one coaching, a footwear repair and reconditioning program, and a regular calendar of workshops and events led by movement specialists.

The Role

As Store Manager, you'll run day-to-day operations of the flagship, on-site in SoHo. You'll lead a team of retail associates, own the customer experience, and make sure the store performs commercially while staying true to a brand built around health, movement, and community.

You'll work closely with regional and retail leadership as this first US location gets off the ground, which means a fair amount of building processes, not just following them.

What You'll Own

You'll be responsible for hiring, training, and coaching the store team, driving sales performance against KPIs, and managing inventory, scheduling, and visual merchandising.

You'll also oversee the store's experience layer - foot scanning and movement analysis appointments, coaching sessions, and community workshops and events - plus the operational side of the brand's repair and reconditioning program, which already accounts for a meaningful share of sales.

And you'll be a visible face of the brand in the NYC market, building relationships with the local movement, wellness, and running communities.

What We're Looking For

You have 4+ years managing a specialty retail store, ideally for a footwear, activewear, wellness, or lifestyle brand with a strong service or experience component.

You're comfortable in a startup-flagship environment, energized by health and movement (a genuine interest is a real plus), and known as a strong people leader who can coach a team and hold it accountable. You're also comfortable with the data side of retail - sales reporting, KPIs, and inventory - and can move at a fast, hands-on pace.

Title: Store Manager

Location: SoHo, New York City - on-site

Schedule: Full-time, on-site, including weekends and retail hours as needed

This Could Be a Fit If…

You love the idea of opening a brand-new store from scratch.

You're energized by health, movement, and wellness - not just retail.

You want to build a team and a culture, not inherit one.

You think of retail as an experience, not just a transaction.

You want to be part of a brand's first chapter in the US.

Noted for next time, no docx unless you ask. What are the other roles you need?
