Duties: The area of focus will be inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specification, contract administration, reporting daily progress, tracking and documenting quantities of work performed, resolving construction problems and challenges in the field and other oversight responsibilities as assigned. Candidates shall have knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, strong communication skills, documentation control, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and to perform quantity takeoffs/calculations.

Qualifications: Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must. Candidates must have effective written and oral communication skills, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field is required, with field inspection capacity.
  • A NICET Level 2 is required for this position.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Other certifications including NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI are a plus.
  • Candidates must be fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software.
  • Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
  • Daily on-site presence is required, with occasional evening or weekend work during critical project phases or to meet project deadlines.
