Job Summary:

Assemble products with parts and sub assembly as needed with close attention to detail. May include using machinery for lot coding product. Maintain and operate machinery according to instruction given by the Assembly Supervisor and/or Management. Assures consistent quality of production by following specifications for individual products. Includes following instructions; monitoring machine parameters; utilizing tools and machinery; accurate counting; interacting with staff.

Requirements:

Essential Job Duties and responsibilities:

  • Follow established specifications for products and instructions from Supervisors.
  • Set up and operate production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Verify line settings (packaging) of equipment per established specifications.
  • Maintains machinery to achieve optimum performance using tools available.
  • May make needed repairs to machinery with instruction from Assembly Supervisor or Management.
  • Interacts with quality control and other staff to ensure quality parameters are being followed.
  • Verify weights/measures of finished product during assembly per established specifications.
  • Manual dexterity and an eye for detail, including accurate counts for assembly.
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate to Supervisor/Management in a professional manner.
  • Follow and improve area processes as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow direction and assist with in-process quality control measures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Reading and comprehension abilities.
  • Must be able to pass food safety training.
  • As needed, must be able to work all shifts, weekends.
  • Ability to work in a Team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.


Minimum Qualification Standards:

  • Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent degree and training.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.


Physical Activities and Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds. Requires ability to continually stand/sit and walk for up to 10-hour days.
