Job description

Job Title: Interior Assembly Technicians Location: Salt Lake City, UT Type: Contract to hire Contractor Work Model: Onsite

System One is seeking for motivated, hands-on individuals to join our team as Interior Assembly Technicians for Railcar Manufacturing. This role focuses on the interior construction and finishing of railcars, ensuring each train meets high standards of quality, durability, and passenger comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install floors and floor substructures inside passenger railcars
  • Lay linoleum with precision and attention to durability and finish
  • Panel interior walls using pre-fabricated or custom materials
  • Panel ceilings according to engineering specifications and design standards
  • Follow detailed blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Work in a team-based production environment focused on safety and efficiency
  • Maintain tools and work area in clean and organized condition
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and manufacturing protocols

Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction, interior finishing, or similar hands-on trade
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or assembly instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Comfortable working inside confined spaces such as train interiors
  • Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the day
  • Prior rail or vehicle manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
