Job description

The Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the community's interior and exterior areas. Responsibilities include trash removal, landscaping support, snow removal as needed, minor repairs, and assisting the maintenance team to ensure the property remains clean, attractive, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Must be available to work rotating weekends.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're seeking a Grounds Person with whatever-it-takes approach to join our team! In this full-time role, you will ensure that the physical asset is maintained in good condition and that everything is clean and sanitary. In addition, the Grounds Person is responsible for keeping an inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting requests when supplies get low.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
  • Maintain cleanliness of all community common areas in accordance with internal quality control standards
  • Ensure that sidewalks, parking areas, and building interiors are free of trash and debris
  • Perform daily audits of community grounds and report findings to management
  • Assist with apartment turnover process, as needed
  • Test smoke detectors in all vacant apartments
  • Maintain positive relationships with all team members and customers
  • Contribute to community/company engagement efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate in written form
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds
