Position: Academic Interventionist Teacher (Full time 1.00 FTE)

Job Description:
Parnassus Preparatory School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Academic Interventionist Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. Full-time (1.00 FTE)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Academic Interventionist will follow the charge of the school principal. This position follows a school-year calendar. The Academic Interventionist will design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate academic interventions, which will provide diversified strategies and activities designed for targeted students. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Professional Responsibilities:
• Supports and provides interventions for students
• Helps resolve problems that impede student learning and/or participation during instructional and non-instructional times
• Helps teams use common assessment data to monitor progress for students receiving interventions
• Provides training and coaching support for teachers administering interventions
• Analyzes and interprets school-level data trends to design, implement, and assess impact of interventions
• Provides parent outreach to assist parents with strategies they can use to support their children (e.g. student-led conferences, parent training, etc.)
• Contributes to the implementation of special projects when assigned
• Helps supervise student activities as directed (e.g., arrivals/departures, parking lots, lunch periods, hall duty, extra-curricular programs, etc.)
• Participates in general staff meetings
• Prepares and maintains accurate records; submits reports on time; maintains school records for the maximum period mandated by law and/or board policy
• Executes, organizes, and oversees any other work critical to the general success of the school as directed
• Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information
OTHER
• Ensures work areas are clean before leaving at the end of the day
• School mailbox emptied daily
• Use of daily electronic mail system is expected
• Attendance is required for safety and job-related training
• Must ensure nothing confidential or dangerous is accessible to others who should not have access
• Must follow all confidentially requirements and be in compliance with all Parnassus policies
• Will perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Hold a Minnesota State teaching license, or have a Reading Teacher or a degree in a related field.
• Have experience working with "at risk" and/or "behaviorally challenged" students.
• Possess knowledge of intervention planning for developing academic change strategies that focuses on increasing academic abilities.
• Possess knowledge in the use of assessment and assessment data to inform intervention.
CRITICAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position will maintain additional working relationships with the: Parnassus Preparatory School administrators, faculty and staff, students, and community as well as with various vendors of the school.

The Academic Interventionist will represent the Parnassus Preparatory School with professionalism and respect and will uphold the school's standards and philosophy. It is essential that high standards of confidentiality be maintained within the school and in the community. The Student Academic Interventionist is expected to uphold Parnassus Preparatory School Board's policies and expectations in all communications with faculty, staff, students, parents, school employees, vendors, and the community.
Compensation:
Pay range: $45,150 - $81,375
