Registered Nurse โ€“ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Pay Rate: $1,900 โ€“ $2,016/week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Day Shift โ€“ Weekend Block (Saturday & Sunday + 1 Weekday)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Level IV / Surgical NICU experience with prior travel experience required

About the Role

Join one of the nation's premier pediatric healthcare organizations as a Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) in Atlanta, Georgia. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to provide advanced neonatal critical care in a high-acuity Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) while working alongside a collaborative team of neonatal specialists. Responsibilities

โ€ข Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and premature infants in a Level IV/Surgical NICU

โ€ข Assess, monitor, and manage neonatal patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension

โ€ข Provide pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative neonatal nursing care

โ€ข Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and other nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies

โ€ข Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve the best possible patient outcomes

โ€ข Educate and support families throughout the patient's hospitalization while maintaining accurate clinical documentation

โ€ข Float to other units as required based on patient care needs

Requirements

โ€ข Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

โ€ข Minimum Level IV / Surgical NICU experience required

โ€ข Previous travel nursing experience required

โ€ข Current BLS certification

โ€ข Current PALS certification

โ€ข NRP certification preferred

โ€ข Ability to work Weekend Block Day shifts (Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday)

โ€ข Must work at least one holiday if it falls during the assignment

โ€ข Nicotine-free facility โ€“ nicotine testing and drug screening required

โ€ข Flu vaccination required during flu season (no medical or religious exemptions)
