Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Pay Rate: $1,900 - $2,016/week
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift - Weekend Block (Saturday & Sunday + 1 Weekday)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Level IV / Surgical NICU experience with prior travel experience required
About the Role
Join one of the nation's premier pediatric healthcare organizations as a Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) in Atlanta, Georgia. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to provide advanced neonatal critical care in a high-acuity Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) while working alongside a collaborative team of neonatal specialists. Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and premature infants in a Level IV/Surgical NICU
• Assess, monitor, and manage neonatal patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension
• Provide pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative neonatal nursing care
• Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and other nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve the best possible patient outcomes
• Educate and support families throughout the patient's hospitalization while maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Float to other units as required based on patient care needs
Requirements
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum Level IV / Surgical NICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• NRP certification preferred
• Ability to work Weekend Block Day shifts (Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday)
• Must work at least one holiday if it falls during the assignment
• Nicotine-free facility - nicotine testing and drug screening required
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (no medical or religious exemptions)
