Job description

Job#: 3044225
Job Description:
AI Prompt Security Engineer
Location: Miami, Florida (Onsite)
Role Overview
This position is a hands-on engineering role centered on scripting, programming, and automation to protect GenAI and agentic systems. The role involves building the guardrails, detections, evaluation tooling, and reusable libraries that defend large language model and agentic applications against prompt injection, jailbreaks, and tool misuse. The AI Engineer will write software and automation to ship these protections into CI/CD and engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain prompt-level security controls and guardrails for GenAI and agentic applications.
  • Develop scripts, programs, and automation, primarily in Python, to operationalize prompt-security controls and policy enforcement.
  • Build and maintain automated evaluation harnesses and regression test suites to validate prompt and agent behavior.
  • Integrate prompt-security controls and tests into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
  • Build reusable libraries, SDKs, and templates to promote secure prompting and safe tool-use for engineering teams.
  • Enforce identity and PHI/PII/data-protection controls at the prompt and tool-invocation layer.
  • Define and document secure-prompting and agentic-development best practices and drive adoption.
  • Operationalize findings from the automated AI red-team platform into prompt-layer fixes.
  • Research and pilot prompt-security and LLM-defense tooling aligned to the NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLM.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years in software/security engineering, AI/ML, or platform engineering in a large enterprise setting is required, with a track record of building automation and tooling. Hands-on Python development and CI/CD integration experience is necessary.
Technical Skills: Strong software-engineering fundamentals in scripting, programming, and automation, especially with Python, are required. This includes sound practices in version control, testing, and CI/CD. Candidates must have knowledge of GenAI/LLM and agentic systems, secure MCP configuration, Application/API security, and data protection. A working knowledge of Identity and Access Management, data security/privacy controls, and cloud environment security fundamentals for Azure and AWS is also required. An applied understanding of the NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLM is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain AI security risks to non-technical stakeholders.
Work Environment
Work is primarily conducted in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety or health hazard potential. This position is classified as in-office and requires employees to work from a designated office in South Florida from Monday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Fridays. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. No travel is required.
