Lead Teacher – Early Resultz Child Care & Learning Center VI

Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About Us

Early Resultz Child Care & Learning Center is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow, explore, and develop essential skills. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team.

Position Summary

The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, supervising children, and ensuring compliance with all licensing and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Supervise and guide assistant teachers and classroom staff.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children's progress.
  • Ensure compliance with Virginia licensing regulations and center policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
